Welcome to Will & Beyond (the "Platform"), an online legal technology, document compilation, and wealth tracking portal owned and operated exclusively by Will & Beyond having its registered office at 403-B, Shiv Anand CHS Ltd, Tembhi Naka, Thane (W) – 400601, Maharashtra (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our").

We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy, absolute confidentiality, and digital security of your personal, ancestral, and financial data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, handle, store, and safeguard your information in strict compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

1. Data We Collect

To draft your customized Will and to populate your continuous financial dashboard, this web application collects the following information based strictly on your manual inputs:

  • Identity Data: Full Name, Age, Father’s/Husband's Name, Permanent Address, and ID Proof details (e.g., Aadhaar, Passport, or PAN number).
Note on Aadhaar: Where a user voluntarily provides an Aadhaar number, it is collected and stored solely for identity reference in the Will document at the user's own instance, is never used for authentication purposes, and is stored in masked/redacted form wherever technically feasible, consistent with the restrictions on collection and storage of Aadhaar numbers by private entities under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016. Users may alternatively provide PAN or Passport details in lieu of Aadhaar.
  • Family & Beneficiary Data: Names, relationships, contact details, and ages of your family members, nominees, executors, and witnesses.
  • Asset & Financial Data: Detailed inventories of your movable and immovable properties, including flat/land addresses, bank account numbers, Fixed Deposit details, locker information, mutual funds, insurance policies, share certificates, and gold holdings etc.
  • Referral Data: If you access our platform via a designated Channel Partner link, we log the Partner’s identification code solely to process internal commercial commissions. No personal, financial, or asset data inputted by you is ever shared back with the Channel Partner.
  • Transaction Data: Details of payments processed through our third-party integrated payment gateway (Razorpay). We do not store your credit card or bank login credentials on our servers.

2. Purpose of Data Processing & Continuous Retention

Your data is processed and stored on an ongoing basis for the following explicit purposes:

  • To systematically compile your personal estate records into a valid legal Will.
  • To allow empanelled, independent Legal Professionals to professionally vet, verify, and finalize the structural format of your Will document.
  • To securely deliver the finalized PDF document to your registered email address.
  • Ongoing Net Worth Dashboard Service: To securely retain, structure, and display your updated financial asset profile, allowing you to track, monitor, and update your consolidated Net Worth dynamically as and when you log into your user account.

3. Data Security & Encryption

All data transmitted between your browser and our web application is encrypted using bank-grade Data-at-Rest Encryption (AES-256-GCM Envelope Architecture), SHA-256 Legal Non-Repudiation & Document Integrity, Antivirus & Malware Defense.

  • Your personal and asset details are stored on highly secure, restricted cloud servers with advanced multi-layer firewall protections.
  • We enforce strict access controls; no third-party tech administrator can view your sensitive financial allocations without authorized system triggers.

4. No Data Sharing or Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal or asset information with any third-party marketing companies, financial institutions, or external vendors. Data is only accessible to:

  • The assigned Empanelled Legal Professional for the explicit purpose of your Will drafting.
  • Yourself, through your secure, password-protected Net Worth dashboard.

5. User Rights & Data Retention (DPDP Act Compliance)

  • Continuous Storage: Because the Platform provides a continuous Net Worth tracking service, your asset registry data will be retained securely on our servers for the active duration of your account subscription or profile existence.
  • Right to Erasure & Deletion: In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, you retain the absolute right to withdraw your consent and request the deletion of your account. If you choose to delete your account, all your identity data, financial registries, and historical Will drafts will be permanently purged from our active cloud databases, subject to standard statutory backups or tax record retention requirements.
  • Right to Correction: You can log in at any time to edit, update, or rectify any inaccurate asset data on your dashboard.

6. Limited Vendor Connectivity & Client-Initiated Sharing

  • A. Strict Limitation: To protect the absolute confidentiality of your financial records, the Platform never automatically shares, transmits, or exposes your uploaded asset registries, account details, beneficiary designations, or drafted Will text to any external vendors, service providers, or third-party operators.
  • B. Client-Initiated Consent: The Platform may offer access to independent auxiliary vendors (such as notary assistants, channel partners, or service providers). The Platform will only share your Name and Mobile Number with such a vendor if, and only if, you explicitly click the action button to request a connection with that specific vendor. No data transmission occurs unless you manually trigger this request.
  • C. Absolute Exclusion: For the avoidance of doubt, the independent auxiliary vendor receives only your basic contact details to facilitate your communication request and receives zero access to your sensitive estate, asset data, or Net Worth records.

7. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required under the DPDP Act, 2023, and will take reasonable steps to contain the breach and mitigate its impact without undue delay.

8. Grievance Redressal Officer

If you have any questions, wish to exercise your data erasure rights, or have a grievance regarding your data privacy on this platform, you may contact our designated Grievance Officer under the DPDP Act, 2023:
